On Friday night 22nd September all eyes will be focused on the Rainbow Ballroom of Romance with the screening of William Trevor’s short story “The Ballroom of Romance”. The screening will take place in the mobile cinema outside the Rainbow. This promises to be a great night of entertainment with a cheese and wine reception in the Rainbow. You can also dance the night away to the sounds of Frank Chamber’s Dance Band. In attendance on the night will be filmaker Robert Cooper and Tom Hickey. Tom Hickey was the well known actor in TV series “The Riordans” of many years ago where he played the part of Benjy. On the night we would be delighted if people come in the 1950′s dress style and those who do will get free admission on the night. Car-park attendant Hughie tells me that all push bikes will be parked on the left hand side of the car-park. Check next weeks notes for details of times.
