40th Glenfarne Gala Festival

The 40th Annual Glenfarne Gala Festival takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The following is the programme of events for what is always a fantastic event:
Thursday, July 30th
Childrens Disco in the Rainbow 6-7pm
Opening Float Parade from the Village to the Rainbow 7.30pm.
Glenfarne’s “Bright side of the road” 9pm
Teenage Disco in the Rainbow Ballroom at 11pm – DJ Gaza
Friday, July 31st
Children’s Treasure Hunt in Forest – 6pm
Dancing to “Bagtelle” in Rainbow Ballroom 11pm – 1am followed by a Disco (Full Bar Facilities).
Saturday, August 1st
5K Triathlon at 12 Noon in Glenfarne Forest and Lake. All Enquires to Conor O’Rourke on 086-1618914
Children’s Talent Show at 3pm in the Rainbow, All Enquires to Ann McLoughlin on 087-6632882
“Mock Christening” in the Rainbow Ballroom at 8.30pm with Local Musicians performing. A great nights entertainment guaranteed
Sunday, August 2nd
Mass and Blessing of the graves at 11am in St.May’s
Blessing of the Graves in Kilmacurrill at 2.30pm.
Glenfarne Gala Annual Sports day, St. Marys Park at 3pm.
Presentation to Glenfarne team which won the 1959 Junior Football Championship in the Rainbow at 10pm.
Festival Dance in Ballroom of Romance to “Larry Cunningham & Band” at 11pm (Full Bar Facilities).
Monday, August 3rd
Fishing Competition at 11am commencing from McHugh’s Bar
Duck Race in the Village at 5pm
Car Treasure Hunt at 6.30pm from Ketty’s Bar (Limited to 50 Cars)
Pub Team Challange at 10pm at Village Car Park.
