IRELAND’S showband era is to be immortalised in a museum that will be located in the original ‘Ballroom of Romance’.

May promises to be another great month for dancing in the Rainbow Ballroom of Romance: Sunday, 16th May: Old Tyme Dancing. Music: Cannon and Ramsey, 9pm-11.30pm.
Friday, 21st May: Dancing to new singing sensation Nathan Carter and his band with special guest singer, the legendary Philomena Begley. Dancing from 11.30pm. Licensed bar.
Sunday, 23rd May: Ballroom Dancing to the music of the very popular Footsteps Band, waltzing competition for the Michael Walshe Memorial Perpetual Cup Dancing from 9.30pm-12am.

‘The Thursday Club’, the Rossinver Active Age Group, is hosting a fundraising Tea Day for The Alzheimer Society at the New Ballagh Centre, Rossinver on Thursday, 6th May from 11am to 1pm. Everybody in the area is welcome to drop into the Centre for a cup of tea, a bit of craic and to help raise vital funds for Alzheimer’s care services.
