I fished Macnean a couple of years ago but didnt see any stands as such only natural bank. There is a disabled person with us so stands would be ideal. A party of 4 of us are looking to come over mid Sept. Can you recommend any where to stop - hotel or b&b and within walking distance of a pub or 2 too? How is Macnean tackled for the best results for coarse fish? I fished groundbait feeder with moderate success - compared to the Erne at the time anyway. Does it respond well to the pole? There is a map here at cottage. You can go to the boat quay and take a right over to the mouth of the river, there are plenty of spots there that are common to pike fishers, no trout at all really. You could also take a left either before boat quay and (tree in midddle of junction) turn left towards ladies rest, the road will bring you over along the lake, there are plenty of spots along the road - locals have the stones marked over here which should help, keep going along lake and you will come to some fishing decks. Basically you can park along the road and fish the other side, easy access big time. Hope this is of help. Go right at Rainbow, and right again just before graveyard at the cottage.
